Details of 2013 Event
This is a novel, fun, Duplicate Bridge event played simultaneously in 5 different Nottingham venues: Jamie’s Italian, Couture, The Living Room, Canal House, Fellows Morton & Clayton, all in central Nottingham.
How Does Café Bridge Work? All players meet for registration with complimentary refreshments at The Canal House, 48-52 Canal St, Nottm, NG1 7EH between 9.45 and 10.30 am. You will be given your full event instructions, a map of venues and a specific movement guide for your pair. You will be allocated to a starting venue, which may be up to 10-15 minutes walk, so please arrive promptly to register and allow time to walk to your start. You make your way to the ?rst venue and play 4 hands of bridge and then you walk to the next venue and play again, and so on throughout the day.
Lunch (included in the entry fee of £25) will be provided in whichever venue you are at 1 pm (order on arrival, then play hands, then lunch). 24 Boards are played during the day. Refreshments will be available for purchase at each venue if required. When all boards are completed we all meet at the finishing venue, The Living Room on High Pavement for convivial drinks and a post mortem of the day; results and prize giving will be at around 4.30 pm. As you will be walking between venues please wear comfortable shoes and note that there will be steps and stairs at some venues.
